Beautiful Days at the Fairs!
A week of rain and clouds gave way to sunshine and blue sky on November 14 and 15, prompting a healthy attendance at Durham Public Schools’ Elementary Magnet and Middle and High School Fairs.
An estimated 2,000 parents and students turned out to talk to DPS staff members and volunteers about the system’s magnet and year-round elementary schools on Saturday morning, and all of the district’s middle and high schools on Sunday afternoon.

The application period for magnet, year-round and small nontraditional high schools is January 4-29, 2010. Applications will be available online beginning January 4.
