DPS Students Awarded More Than
$13 Million in Scholarships
Graduates of the Durham Public Schools Class of 2009 have racked
up more than $13 million in academic scholarships for the fall. They
include full rides to Duke, MIT and Columbia. In addition, partial
or full scholarships were awarded by the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill, Boston University, New York University,
Wake Forest University, Villanova and Oberlin College.
DPS Students: Into the World
DPS students are going to be “all over the map” this fall. They have
been accepted to approximately 150 colleges and universities in 31
states, as well as Mexico, Austria, Italy, Scotland and South Africa.
