New revised program! Durham early college of health science (School Operates On A Modified Calendar)
DECHS is a Cooperative Innovative High School located on the campus of Durham Technical Community College. In this program, students complete both their high school requirements and one of five Health Science programs at DTCC (LPN Nursing, RN Nursing, Surgical Technician, Medical Assisting, or Clinical Research). Students will earn licensure and at least 60% of graduates will be hired by the Duke University Health System upon graduation. DECHS is best suited for students who can demonstrate a high degree of responsibility, independence, and intrinsic motivation and have a strong inclination to careers in health care.

Transportation: Transportation is provided to the campus of Durham Technical Community College from base high schools. Students are responsible for transportation to the base school.
Competitive Athletics: School does not have its own sports teams. Students can participate with base school, however transportation between schools is not provided.
