Autism ribbon

Autism Awareness Month, observed each April, is dedicated to increasing understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It serves as an opportunity to celebrate the unique strengths and talents of people with autism while also promoting inclusion in schools, workplaces, and communities.

Throughout the month, advocates work to dispel myths and raise awareness about the diverse experiences of those on the spectrum. Organizations often host events, share resources, and encourage others to “light it up blue” in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. This month reminds us of the importance of creating environments where individuals with autism feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
