Principal
Mr. Hodges is a dedicated and accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in instructional leadership, student development, and administrative roles. Mr. Hodges has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence, supporting teacher growth, and creating positive school environments. Students are the focus, and all of our goals, activities, and directives will be geared towards ensuring our scholars' success at this level and beyond.
Mr. Hodges holds multiple degrees from Appalachian State University, including an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership and a Master of School Administration. Additionally, he has earned a Graduate Certificate in Teaching in Secondary Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Medicine) from North Carolina Central University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mr. Hodges has dedicated himself to excellence in both teaching and leadership. His work spans various positions, including as an Assistant Principal leading teams, improving student outcomes, and securing national recognition for academic programs. Mr. Hodges has also served as a Dean of Climate and Culture and Science Instructor at various schools, all while remaining focused on promoting student success and enhancing community partnerships.
Mr. Hodges is a husband and father first, and his family enjoys traveling to new places and creating life-long memories. Mr. Hodges is also an avid pickleball player. While he isn’t the best, he is always up for friendly competition.
