Greetings, Cougar Families!


It's Principal Cheek with your weekly message. There is no school tomorrow, April 21, 2025. Though it’s only a 4-day week, it will be an eventful one. We take our ELA, Math, and Science 8 Benchmarks this week. Students will test Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

In sports news:
Tuesday, April 22, baseball and girls’ soccer will host DSA.

Wednesday, April 23, we are hosting Lakewood and Shephard for Superhero Night for track and field.  Come dressed in a Superhero Tee Shirt. Baseball will travel to Brogden to take on DSA.

Thursday, April 24, is Jersey Night for baseball. Come dressed in your favorite jersey.  Baseball and girls’ soccer will host Lakewood.  All athletic events this week begin at 4:45 pm.

Please be mindful of the district-wide stadium policies and procedures, including the clear bag and no re-entry policies. Tickets are $8.00 but free for elementary age students and younger. Middle and Elementary school students must be accompanied by an adult to enter and must remain with them during athletic events.


Saturday, April 26, the cheerleaders will travel to Greensboro to participate in a Spring Festival at Ben L. Smith High School. The performance time is 2:30 pm.

Looking ahead to next week:
Team Picture day will be on April 29 for baseball and girls’ soccer and May 1for track and field.
