ACT

ECHS Juniors - we have identified the date of Wednesday, March 26 as our official ACT Exam Day in our school from 9:00 - 11:00.  ACT scores can impact college acceptance rates and also determine scholarship decisions.

  • Over the next 8 weeks excluding Spring Break, we have multiple opportunities to receive ACT prep tutoring services by our Sophomore Seminar teachers during the school day and with M&M Tutoring company after school from 4:00 - 5:00.  DPS also offers free online Edmentum ACT Prep resources.   It is our hope that each of our 11th graders commit to 2 sessions per week beginning the first full week after the MLK Holiday to give you the best advantage.  In addition to our Early College services, Durham Public Schools will offer a free ACT Practice Exam at multiple comprehensive high school locations or you may access the practice virtually at home next Saturday, January 25th.

This is what we recommend that all of our current Juniors do over the next few days:

  1. Please click on the link provided in the text and email versions to sign up for the free ACT practice exam next Saturday - registration is due by Thursday to participate - there are a limited number of seats for DPS students.

Other Durham Community Free ACT Prep Opportunities:

It is our sincere hope that our 11th grade students take advantage of these ACT prep opportunities.  Parents, we appreciate your support and encouragement to share your expectations of your child to make the time to participate in these important sessions during the school day, after school from 4:00 - 5:00 2x per week.
