Greetings, Viking Family.
Please see the weekly message below from Lowe’s Grove.
Remember, it doesn’t matter how you start, but how you finish that counts. Vikings are PREPARED, show RESPECT, have INTEGRITY and DETERMINATION and exemplify EXCELLENCE at all times. Vikings are scholars, Vikings are leaders, and Vikings have PRIDE!

Math Madness School-Wide Competition
Round 1 Winners will be announced on Tuesday, Aprill 22. Students are participating in a school-wide math competition. All students have access to either one or both online math personalized instructional tools, i-Ready or ALEKS. There is an individual incentive component and a team incentive component. Every two weeks, students may be eligible for prizes if they meet their participation and pass rate goals. Students may access both platforms at home as well to reach their goals. Please check-in with your child regarding their progress. The overall winning team will earn a team field trip (tentatively to the zoo). Round 2 starts today, April 21st.
Cell Phones
Alright, As a reminder, cell phones are not permitted during the instructional day. We fully understand that students need cell phones for family communication and safety purposes. Student cell phones should be off/on vibrate and secured in student backpacks during the day. If students need to call home they should go to the front office to make calls home. We will be reaching out to parents/ guardians of students who misuse cell phones for an admin conference as appropriate. Parents, we ask that you support and respect our school-wide commitment to protect instruction and learning by not calling your child during the instructional day. If you have an emergency situation, please call the front office and we will ensure that your message reaches your child or call your student to the office. Students will see other important text communication by or at the end of the day. Thank you again for your attention and support.
After School Tutoring
It is not too late to sign your child up for our spring after school tutoring. Permission slips must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian prior to participation. If you would like to inquire about available seats for your child’s grade level, please email Ms. Georgette Leary (8th grade counselor).
