Dr. Gold received her PhD and BA in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and her Master's of Library Science from UNC-Greensboro. Her PhD research focused on social media-based reading communities and reading motivation. She serves as the RHS Canvas Coach, and website administrator, and she is the club advisor for Bookish (the student book club), Battle of the Books, and Maker Club. She also serves on the School Improvement Team (SIT), Equity Team, and the Restorative Practices Team, and helps lead the RHS staff Breakfast Book Club. When it comes to books, you'll find her flying through thrillers, mysteries, realistic fiction, horror, historical fiction, and nonfiction books about social issues. In her free time, Dr. Gold enjoys camping, traveling to new places, and paper crafting. She lives in north Durham with her partner and foster children.
