Student Services Overview

At Brogden Middle School, our Student Services team is committed to nurturing the academic success and emotional well-being of every student. Through a holistic approach, we provide targeted support and opportunities that empower our students to grow, thrive, and succeed.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Social Emotional Learning is woven into the fabric of our school culture. Through explicit instruction and daily interactions, students build essential skills such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and responsible decision-making. SEL creates a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)

Our PBIS framework reinforces positive behavior and builds a strong school community. At Brogden, we emphasize our core expectations Respect, Responsibility, and Readiness —and recognize students for demonstrating these traits. Incentives like Dragon Dollars, positive shout-outs, and classroom celebrations help motivate students and promote a culture of kindness, consistency, and accountability.

Restorative Practices Center (RPC)

The Restorative Practices Center (RPC)of fers a proactive and supportive alternative to traditional discipline. When students experience conflict or behavioral challenges, RPC provides a space to reflect, take responsibility, and restore relationships through guided conversations and restorative practices. The goal is to keep students engaged in learning while fostering personal growth, empathy, and community connection.

Together, these services ensure that every Brogden student is supported academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that when students are supported as whole individuals, they are better prepared to reach their full potential—both in school and in life.
